Our clients loved the location of their home, but felt the property had been split up into too many rooms that did not work for them as a family. We listened carefully to their requirements and came up with an ambitious proposal to remove the majority of the rear and side of the existing house. This allowed us to create a very large kitchen, living, dining and family space that provides dual aspect views, plenty of light and an enhanced connection to the garden.

The combination of reworking the existing plan, coupled with the extended space, allowed all of the bedrooms to become much more generous in size. A link building was also added, containing utility, plant and boot rooms and flexible annexe accommodation, to connect the main house to the existing double garage.
